A lyophilised peptide is a dry powder that has to be dissolved before it can be measured or handled. Reconstitution is the arithmetic and the technique of getting it into solution at a known concentration.
Bacteriostatic water contains a preservative that allows a vial to be accessed more than once. Sterile water does not. The difference is small on the label and decides which one belongs on the bench.
