TB-500 is the acetylated 17-23 fragment of thymosin beta-4, and its clearest literature is not clinical but analytical: the chemistry papers that pinned down what the compound actually is.
TB-500 is Ac-LKKTETQ, a seven-residue acetylated fragment corresponding to residues 17 to 23 of thymosin beta-4. Thymosin beta-4 is a 43-residue protein. Analytical chemists established the distinction in 2012, and it governs how the literature should be read.
