VION contains TB-500, a synthetic 7-amino acid peptide corresponding to the active region of Thymosin Beta-4, a protein present in high concentrations in blood platelets and wound fluid. TB-500 isolates this sequence to enable targeted study of its cellular effects in laboratory settings. Research examines three primary mechanisms. Cell migration: TB-500 is studied for its interaction with actin, a structural protein fundamental to cell movement and morphology. Research in molecular biology journals has examined its role in facilitating cell migration toward remodelling sites. Soft tissue flexibility: Unlike compounds primarily studied in bone or dense muscle tissue, TB-500 research focuses on endothelial cell differentiation, collagen deposition, and soft tissue resilience models. Systemic distribution: TB-500's low molecular weight is noted in research as a factor in its ability to distribute through tissue in in vitro models, making it a subject of interest in systemic cellular biology studies. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption. Not for use in diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical procedures.
